British Foreign Secretary William Hague will discuss the United States' stance on the Malvinas [Falkland] Islands with the US Secretary of State John Kerry, following reports that Washington will not recognize the result of next month's referendum on the sovereignty of the islands. Kerry will meet his British counterpart next week on his first British visit as secretary of state. According to Foreign Office sources, the islands which Britain illegally occupied in 1833, are among the issues to be discussed. Over the past years, Argentina has repeatedly brought the question of Malvinas to international forums and has insisted on its sovereignty over the region. “The US position has not changed. The US does not support Argentina's sovereignty claims. The US recognizes the UK's administration of the Falkland Islands, but takes no position on sovereignty,” said a US Department of State spokesperson. Moreover, last year, when the plebiscite was announced, a State Department official said: "We will not speculate on a referendum that has not taken place. Our position remains one of neutrality." A referendum will be held in the Malvinas next month for the islanders to decide whether they want to remain British or rather they want to rejoin Argentina as motherland. A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them. According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban. Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy that states: "The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms...If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction." York Arms, located in Buxton, ME released a statement following new legislation in New York: "Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York." Quality Arms, located in Rigby, ID writes on their website, "elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States." The site states: "Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment." Bravo Company USA states: "The people at Bravo Company USA and BCM support responsible private individuals having access to the same tools of civilian Law Enforcement to affect the same ends...As such Bravo Company's policy is that law enforcement officials and departments will be restricted to the same type of products available to responsible private individuals of that same city or state." This must be Barack Obama’s way of thanking our veterans for serving. US veterans are receiving letters from the government informing them that they are disabled and not allowed to own, purchase or possess a firearm. If the veteran does decide to purchase a firearm he will by fined, imprisoned or both. This comes on page 2 of the VA letter. Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse. What if that letter also stated: “A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2).”? February 21, 2013 posting ... my weekly radio show archive is now posted on the archive sub-page ... this week i cover a number of short items but the main science topic is on luminescence and specifically the luminescence of comet C/2012/F6 Lemmon that is about to make an appearance in our night sky of the northern hemisphere and is lit up light a giant celestial neon sign with the electrical discharge passing through it as predicted by my Plasma Discharge Comet Model ... i found it comical that a few weeks ago spaceweather.com published a statement saying that the comet was a brilliant green because of "reflected" sunlight ... i thoroughly slammed that absurdity and what i find amusing is that they are now still saying the same thing but leaving out the word "reflected" ... and just saying it is due to solar radiation on the comet which is further fairy tale science ... they sure can't let on to the truth and they SURE will never say that real spectrographic data would show LUMINOSCITY and spectral lines with far more energy than can be explained by reflected sunlight and which is very different from "reflected" light NOT TO MENTION that you would see RED SHIFTED light from this comet ... how's a little puffy snowball going to do that ... like i have always said ... many times it is not what they say in the gov mouthpiece news agencies ... it is what they do not say ... anyway join me this week on my show to keep up with current celestial events ... jim mccanney == http://www.jmccsci.com/
